Ethics in Finance - Robin Cosgrove Prize 2010-2011
|
The Robin Cosgrove Prize awards prize money of USD 20,000 for creative and unpublished papers setting out innovative ideas to promote ethics in finance. Papers are accepted in English and French for the global edition and in Spanish and Portuguese for the ibero-american edition.
The second Ibero-American edition of the Prize, inviting papers in Spanish and Portuguese, and supported by MAPFRE of Madrid, is also open. The Prize awards USD 15,000 and is targeted to the experience of Spain, Portugal and Latin America. The winning papers will be translated into English and added to the nominations for the global Prize.
Young professionals and advanced students, aged 35 years or younger, can submit a paper before the deadline of 31st March 2011.
By encouraging young professionals to examine their own attitudes and behaviour, the Robin Cosgrove Prize promotes sustainable ways for encouraging higher standards of ethics in all aspects of finance.

International meeting Ethics, Finance & Responsibility
|
The 9th international meeting on Ethics, Finance & Responsibility will take place on October 21 in Geneva, and is organised by the Observatoire de la Finance
The principal purpose of these meetings, articulated around some workshops, is to give a range of examples and analysis to face the question of the link between finance and ethics. In fact, nowadays, is really important to strengthen the financial operators’ judgment in order to make their decisions responsible and ethically founded.
Speakers come from all Europe and sometimes from United States or some African Countries. They are financial professional and academic professors.

The Social Performance and Responsibilities of Entrepreneurship
|
This planned special issue will discuss the impacts of entrepreneurial behaviour on social welfare and also assess the responsibilities of entrepreneurs in relation to social and environmental issues.
Contributors are requested to submit full papers electronically to the corresponding guest editor, Dr. Stephen Pavelin (s.pavelin@reading.ac.uk) no later than February 28, 2011.
A Business & Society Special Issue Workshop (titled: The Social Performance and Responsibilities of Entrepreneurship) will be held at the International Association for Business and Society Annual Meeting 2011, to be held in Bath, UK on June 23-26. Authors will be informed whether their paper has been accepted for presentation at the Workshop by March 31, 2011. While accepted authors will be encouraged to attend the Workshop, further consideration of a submitted paper is not contingent upon such attendance. Following the Workshop, all papers under consideration will go through the journal=92s double-blind review process. Business & Society Special Issue Call for papers August 2010
|
The Social Performance and Responsibilities of Entrepreneurship
This planned special issue will discuss the impacts of entrepreneurial behaviour on social welfare and also assess the responsibilities of entrepreneurs in relation to social and environmental issues.
Contributors are requested to submit full papers electronically to the corresponding guest editor, Dr. Stephen Pavelin (s.pavelin@reading.ac.uk) no later than February 28, 2011.
Submissions to the special issue should follow the Business & Society manuscript submission guidelines outlined on the journal's website at http://bas.sagepub.com (then click on ‘Submit a Manuscript’). Papers should include a 100-150 word abstract followed by three to five keywords. The paper itself should contain no indications of authorship (including self-citations or references). A title page containing full author contact information should be sent as a separate document. The citations and references should be APA compliant (see BAS guidelines).
